Happy 4th of July!

We started out our 4th of July celebration by participating in the Kingwood 4th of July parade by decorating Addi's bike and Peyton's wagon. The girls had so much fun. We were lucky enough to be in the front of the parade so we walked about 90% of the parade then stopped to let the girls watch the rest. I think we ended up with more candy from the parade than Halloween!

That afternoon we went downtown for the Freedom over Texas festival. The fireworks were AMAZING....seriously the best I have ever seen. Addi loved every second of it and Peyton HATED every second of it. She held on to Gramma for her life the entire 17 minute show! She would briefly turn around to see the lights but as soon as the next boom came, she was in tears...I can't say I am surprised though :) Poor baby!

Whoops...the month of June

I started this post earlier then realized I never posted it so here is the rest of the month...

The month started off with a trip to New Braunfels with some of our favorite friends. We managed to pack 6 mommies and 11 kiddos into the river house and enjoyed a week of fun that included Sea World, Landa Park, outlet mall and floating the Comal! It is amazing how well all the kids got along and I can definitely say we will do that again...So much fun!
The middle part of the summer is a blur. I do know I am trying to keep them as busy and possible which usually means our afternoons are spent in the pool. Both of the girls are fish...at least I will get a nice tan :)

We did The Aquarium for Father's Day which both the girls really enjoyed. We even finished the night with a carriage ride..perfect!

We ended the month with a last minute trip to Galveston for a few days with Gramma. First off Stewart Beach. Addi LOVED the beach...jumping the waves and making sand castles. She would have stayed all day if we let her. She is definitely a beach girl! Peyton DID NOT LOVE the water part of the beach...the unpredicability of the waves was just too much for her to handle. She insisted on wearing her puddle jumper even in ankle deep water :) She made several attempts out in the water but each time it ended with her crying asking to go back. At least she gets an A for effort! And if you know Peyton you know the part she LOVED...digging those fingernails into the sand/dirt/seaweed combination that we seem to have on Galveston Island. We moved on to Moody Gardens next and spent 2 nights there enjoying everything they have to offer. We truely had 2 full days of activities just on the grounds of Moody Gardens. We saw everything from monkeys to penguins to dinosaurs not to mentions boat rides and palm beach. We had a great time and made great memeories..thanks Gramma!

The official start to summer...

is when school ends :( I am currently attempting to pack the calendar with things to do to keep my little rascals busy. So far, so good. A few trips to New Braunfels, gymnastics for both girls, random dance camps and a few other things should keep us busy until fall...I hope!

The last day of school for Addi was water day. They had water slides, a giant slip and slide (would be PERFECT for an adult party IMO!), shaving cream, bubbles and everything else under the sun! What a great way to end a great year!

To celebreate the start of summer Gramma and I took the girls to Old Mc Donald's Farm...something Addi has been asking for for weeks. Lots of fun was had and to my surprise...Peyton rode a horse! I was totally shocked and she did it over and over! Yay Peyton!

And there is no doubt...Peyton LOVES her "Maw-Maws" (Gramma)

Summer has arrived in Texas!

Summer heat has almost arrived and the girls are in HEAVEN! I guess I have 2 water babies on my hand. They are loving the pool!

Here is Addi trying a flip after she watched Jordan do it. She only tried a few times then decided it hurt her back too much! LOL!
Addi also passed the "swim test" at the gym by swimming 25 yds unassisted allowing her to go down the big water slides! So proud of my little fish. Pey is so jealous of the slides...maybe that will be motivation enough for her to swim too :)

Addi's dance recital

Tonight was the night Addi has been asking about for weeks...the night she gets to get on stage and dance her little heart out. She did spectacular! Her attention weined here and there but all in all she followed the routine and made this momma proud :) As much as she loves to go to dance class, watch dance and dance around the house I wouldn't be too surprised if she has a future in this stuff.

Go Mommy Go!

I had the pleasure this morning of hearing once again my precious Addi chant "Go Mommy Go" as I crossed the finish line of my first Super Sprint Triathalon. I actually got to hear it several times as my wonderfully dedicated mother made out to watch the whole race start to finish with both girls in tow :) I was actually a great way to start out Mother's Day. Here is as pic with my awesome racing buddies following the race.

Happy Easter

The bunny never fails to treat the kids well..Addi and Pey both got a basket full of goodies and toys while Jordan got a basket full of lottery tickets and cash. All seemed equally pleased :)

First off dying eggs-Gramma came over to help
The week was full of Easter parties and lots of egg hunts. We finished off with an egg hunt at church and lunch downtown at an Indian restaurant-breaking away fom our traditional Easter brunch. Thank god I got this picture of the girls before the church service. Peyton had the most horendous bloody nose after church that kept going and going. I'm talking like 30 minutes while applying pressure. I actually had to call the nursess line for help to get it to stop! I never would have thought to have her blow her nose as it was bleeding??? Thank god for the wonderful nurses who had to work on Easter sunday!
