Rodeo fun!

Rodeo time is always so much fun for the whole family. So far, we have already been twice. Once to the actual rodeo/concert and once to the livestock show/carnival.

I love that my kids are getting to an age where there is so much fun stuff to do that everyone can enjoy! The rodeo was fun to watch and it's funny how much they pick up on even at 4...lots of questions about roping calves around the neck, tying them up etc. The best was "why is the bull/bronco so mad when the cowboy is on him?" Although I am well aware of what makes the bull and bronco buck like they do, I wasn't ready to explain that just yet...I diverted that question pretty quickly!

AND...It also doesn't hurt the situation when daddy shows up with a pink blinged out light up cowgirl hat! Too bad for Pey they didn't have a light up one in her size but she didn't seem to mind. Here they are all cowgirled up!

Today we went with a few friends to the livestock show and carnival. Addi definatley has her daddy's blood when it comes to rollercoasters! I was forced to go on the Ferris Wheel (because she couldn't go alone) and I white knuckled the entire thing! I hated every moment of it and I tried my best to be brave but man that was AWFUL!!! She also did a rollercoaster, a free fall ride and couple other rides. She loved every moment and never once showed any signs of being scared. She laughed the entire time...

Phew...what a LONG DAY!!!

Hmmm...where has time gone?

It has been over a month since my last post...whoops! Here is a brief recap of February:

Addi got a butterfly garden for Christmas. With the weather starting to warm up (briefly), we finally ordered her first set of caterpillars. She really enjoyed the process. Not sure she "got" the whole thing but she was so happy when she woke up to 5 butterflies. We fed them for a few days then released them. 5 caterpillars cost about $4...we will definitely do this project again :)

Valentine's Day is always fun for the kids. I think this picture of Pey explains it all...

I also can't remember a month that has been so FREAKIN cold here in Houston. The kids were teased with the possibility of snow twice. And, Jordan actually had a SNOW DAY from school! That sounds so crazy for Houston, Texas but... the roads we completely iced so buses couldn't run. Oh well, I am just glad spring is finally here and we can put those heavy coats away for a good 9-10 mths :)
