Sea World!

This past weekend we went on the mother of all playgroup outtings...Sea World!

Our playgroup started from a group of moms (g-mas) that were doing Kindermusik when the kids were less than 1 yr old. At the end of the session everyone decided they weren't going to continue Kindermusik and instead decided to meet weekly and form a playgroup. When they started it was actually my mom who went to the playgroup b/c it was on a work day for me. Once the kids started MDO they had to change days and I was able to go. Our kids have grown up together and most of us have had another kid since then. So, it was great to be in thier company for our first trip to Sea World!

I didn't get too many pics from Sea World b/c it was pretty close to chaos a lot of the time with 9 kids. So...

Here is Addi on the way home today :)

And even better here is Peyton relishing in the fact that she is watching a baby einstein for the first time while Addi is catching flies :)

Little Soccer Star

My little angel played soccer for the first time this year. She loved every minute of it and couldn't wait for the next practice or game. I loved watching her play...the excitement she showed each time she touched the ball, the joy of running in circles and the many, many minutes lost playing in the dirt instead of playing soccer.

After the first game Addi was so confused why there was only one ball for 10 kids. So we told her to just get in there and touch it once...that is all you have to do. By the second game she mastered it but had a hard time getting past this concept. Every time she touched the ball, she would stop dead in her tracks turn around to us and say "Mommy, I did it..I touched the ball!" (and she had a good little dance that went along with it EVERY TIME). The game would continue on but Addi was jumping up and down with excitement from her accomplishment. By the last game we made progress..she touched the ball 3 times in a row then screamed and danced around! I love her so much!

Swim Lessons and no dairy update

Addison has started swim lessons at Lifetime. They have a new director this year who has brought in a new program. Although Addison can "swim" she can only go as far as she can hold her breath and it takes ALOT of work on her part. Her biggest problem is that she can't float on her back. The philosophy of thier swim program is to swim and when she needs air to flip over to her back and float. She is almost there so I hope but summer time she is ready to go! She loves to go to swim class and is so eager to be a big swimmer like bubba! Here are a some pics of swim class:

It has been almost 2 weeks since Peyton has had dairy products and we are INFECTION FREE! This is the longest we have gone without an ear infection since she was 6 mths. Although the allergist didn't feel a milk allergy could cause the excessive drainage, my pediatrician felt it was still a possibility. I decided to give it a try and OMG I can't believe it might have worked. I am still cautious but she has been soooo happy and sleeping so well for the first time in a really long time. Keep your fingers crossed :)

Smash Cake Re-do

Since Peyton was not 100% at her party, I wanted to give her another opportunity to get down and dirty with her cake. Here are some of the pictures...

Boys will be boys???

I guess I am thankful it took Jordan as long as it did to learn his new trick...

yes, that is Jordan jumping off the roof into the pool. My heart stops with every leap but Roger says I am suppossed to do that b/c I am his mother??? He has no problem with this and thinks it is something boys are meant to do. Not sure he will be saying that if and when we get a bill for emergency care!
